We’re no scientists, but we do know that if climate change continues at its current pace, then we’ll be witnessing incongruous weather patterns soon. Ever experienced summer weather in the middle of January? We have.
Delikate Rayne took the duality of climate change in consideration when envisioning Summer 2012. Take for example the primary colors of coral, cream and black, signifying the juxtaposition of hot and cold, the contrast between vivacity and restraint.
Surely, DR stayed true to summer references (no doom and gloom for this one). Add patterns like floral razzmatazz and leopard, and the whole line springs to life–as if awakened from winter slumber.
Most DR pieces feature sheer fabrics and cut outs either on the back, the shoulders or on the sleeves. Again, this marks the contrasting forces the designers have been working with. This time playing with the idea of covering up, but not really. It’s their version of peek-a-boo.
